Project progress

The Philippines is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, but also among the countries with the highest electricity prices in Asia due to heavy reliance on imported fossil fuels. As the government intensifies incentives for renewable energy—especially bioenergy—biomass power has become an increasingly important solution for industrial electricity cost reduction and supply stability.

With its strong coconut-based agriculture, the Philippines produces large volumes of coconut residues—such as coconut shells, coconut husks, coconut leaves, and coconut fronds and trunks—are high-potential biomass energy feedstocks, providing a strong foundation for the development of distributed clean power generation.

Renesons Energy Polillo INC faced several operational and strategic challenges:
The Polillo region faces unstable electricity supply.
High grid electricity costs have increased the operational burden on local enterprises.
The company aims to utilize abundant coconut waste resources to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
The project supports green transformation and enhances long-term energy independence.

To address this, we collaborated on a 1.5MW biomass gasification power project to ensure stable electricity, reduce costs, and help the company transition toward clean and self-sufficient energy.
